the problem is they are being lied to by the media to sell papers.

I too, saw those pictures and was touched enough to email my MP and sign an online petition, only to find out days later that they had free housing in turkey and had a reasonable amount of savings. then once his family have died he's back in Syria burying them.

what should we believe? I'm all for giving them refuge, and quite frankly we as the Uk are probably a contributor to the situation, should we turn people away though? i don't think so.

Should we try and do iraq version 2 where we train the natives to protect them selves and divide the country? or will we end up with another israel/palistine?

There is no simple answer, we are lucky enough to live in a country that people risk their lifes getting to.

it's a sad world we live in frown

My wife is a music teacher and she can't comprehend how soundboards on kids toys haven't advanced since the 80's.

Attended a Palmer Corporate Track day recently, Brilliant fun, but the seriousness some people take on gaining a 10th of a second on their fellow colleagues is unbelievable frown

You are not racing drivers, it's a day out to have fun. Please try and remember that wink

Try the fathers at a carting meet for that.

Mobile phone manufacturers "new model must be thinner" attitude. I don't care if it's 0.2mm thinner than last years model, I don't want the camera to jut out like a massive zit on a teenagers face. Why can't you make it fit properly? I'd prefer it to be 2mm+ thicker if it means a flush smooth back and I get a bigger capacity battery.

I'd like to add in the 'why are they now bigger (and getting even bigger) than what they used to be' argument. I don't really care about watching the latest episode of Eastenders while on the 6:33 from Epsom.
I just want a decent phone that fits neatly in my pocket and doesn't feel like I'm walking around with a table tennis table stuffed down my jeans. [Fnah fnha]

Daft cow who drove straight in the back of me this morning because she was too busy playing with the radio. Low speed so damage appears cosmetic, and because of the age of the car a new bumper would probably write the car off. So still deciding the best course of action

Have a look at this graphic showing the evolution of the mobile phone then reflect on the fact that it was around 2003 that streamed porn videos became available on mobile phones.

My paper coffee cup today has the following printed upon it: "Delicately roasted at 220 degrees".

What is delicate about 220 degrees?

"Near-incinerated at a furnace-like 220 degrees", surely?

A bit like the clowns who are looking to move to the country, the programme invariably ends with the statement 'after careful thought Timmy and Jemima have decided to stay where they are'. Dreamers the lot of them.
They always want somewhere away from neighbours for the peace and privacy. Then talk about running a holiday let.

Drivers joining your road from a side road who 'edge' into the box junction (whilst you've left it clear due to queuing traffic).
