One of my earliest film memories was the Airwolf movie, the intro was epic.

Games that use a readme.txt as the game's info/manual. Then you get addon mods that contain text files in their installation that the creator has also called readme.txt and it overwrites the original and then it gets overwritten by the next one and so on. Just use unique mod specific text file names!

Developers believing that their thing is more important than anything else? How terribly unusual.

My house has never had a number. It is the manor house in the village and has been around for at least 500 years. I've no idea what number you would/could give it. The nearest neighbouring house is 500m away and doesn't have a number either as far as I know. The neighbours further away might have numbers but might start at 1.
We're not worthy. M'lord.
Oh, don't do yourself down. We have a role for an under-footman: I'm sure you'd be up to the job.
Thank you. I'd like every Tuesday off, use of the family car, an en-suite room, fresh white gloves every day and be able to bring girls back for Ugandan discussions.

It's more developers thinking that you'll read it, and if you're likely to need it again, either rename it or move it somewhere else.

Buying a birthday card at self service tills.

(Scan birthday card)

"Please place your item in the bagging area"

(Places almost weightless card in the bagging area)

"Please place your item in the bagging area"

(Lean on bagging area so it registers card)

"Unexpected item in the bagging area"

Yes, it's me! I'm in the sodding bagging area because the scale, unsurprisingly, couldn't register a few grams of card!

Agreed but I have droit de seigneur on the young ladies.

Mrs Bills granny lived in Shetland and she didn't even have a road mentioned in her address. It was just Cissie, Scousburgh. No house details, just the place name. Even the postman in Lerwick twenty odd miles away knew who to deliver it to.

I once got a letter addressed to me with my full name and "Lincoln" on it.

I was mightily impressed smile

People who read the paper who seem to want to imitate some sort of Indiana Jones / Lion tamer whip crack with every page turn.

Generally happens on the train home.

Just turn the page over normally!!

I'm started to get a bit annoyed at the number of pointless stupid threads on here. It's getting out of hand.

I'm surprised your patience has lasted this long.
