Plus, people forget the other countries that had pilots in the RAF, the Polish being a good example.
And, ironically, the Argentines.

Not officially....the Brazilians did however field Air Force, Naval and Land forces into the ETO and naval in the PTO/South Atlantic.

They had an entire RAF squadron of Argentine volunteers.

Around 600, and 4000 over all our armed forces.

That's a stocky looking thing - the Aeronautical version of the Fruitfly I think.

Websites that have large drop down site navigation menus that appear and cover half the screen as soon as you move you mouse pointer over them, always when you never want them to.

Its come to a head............again BUT from all the TV yak, you'd think the Royal Air Farce won the entire war single handed.
They DID win the BoB single handed, hence all the stuff on TV.
Yes, all the fuss this week has been because it was the 75th anniversary of the most important week in the "battle". There'll be other anniversaries of other events in the next few years. El Alamein, anybody?
Plus, people forget the other countries that had pilots in the RAF, the Polish being a good example.

Still, an amazing feat, given that most pilots were 18-20 odd.

The bombers always had my admiration, night after night going out, freezing cold, for hours and hours, knowing that 1/3 wouldn't return, people you ate and slept with. My dad can still remember watching them form up and leave, an entire net covering the sky, and early dawn, seeing them return with huge gaps.
I think of the poor buggers on the receiving end of that

Yes, and those that appear with a massive list of selections, then disappear before you've had chance to find whatever obscure name they've chosen for the option you want.

Sounds like the Classified section of Pistonheads. Horrid!

Also those that pop up a huge banner asking you to 'like' their website before you've had a chance to actually see it

^^^^^ That. It's incredibly annoying - especially when the "pop over" comes up when you're half way through reading the page...

Youtube's ing adverts. I've got a playlist set up, and between every other song is a fking 2 minute advert. And they lose me my mojo.

I run adblock on youtube, it doesn't stop the video adverts that get injected, hitting refresh gets rid of them and it loads the video it is supposed to be playing. Perhaps you have come across them yet.

The way many websites load in a fashion such that things gradually bump down the page.

Is it not possible for place holders to load first, then fill with content?

Watching/listening using an app on my phone. I haven't found a decent adblocker for Android yet.

The new Firefox for Android has an ad blocker, apparently. I haven't tried it yet, but that's what I have heard.

All that jazz

You haven't got it installed right then. I run Chrome with the normal AdBlock (the red hexagon with white hand) and it blocks all ads, including those embedded in youtube.
