You haven't got it installed right then. I run Chrome with the normal AdBlock (the red hexagon with white hand) and it blocks all ads, including those embedded in youtube.
I have got it installed correctly, it's impossible to not have it installed correctly since it's plugin automatically installed for Chrome. I am also using AdBlock Plus and have been using it for years. Again it's not an embedded advert, I block those. It's an added video that plays instead of the video you expect, still has the expected video title, as I said perhaps you have not seen them yet, I have only seen two of them. Probably depends on the channel you are looking at.

Anyway back to the annoyances.

Android Lollipop notifications that change their order just as you are swiping one away, so end up swiping away another one and you didn't notice what it said.

You may have a conflict from running multiple ad blocking extensions. Are you talking about desktop or mobile Chrome? I can assure you that I have a fair number of monetised YT channels in my subs and I don't see any signs of ads on any of them. Remove all the other ad block extensions and just use AdBlock on its own (*not* AdBlock Plus nor AdBlock Pro), reboot your browser afterwards and then post back here. For reference I found both AdBlock Plus and AdBlock Pro to be pants as they only blocked some of the ads. Someone mentioned recently in a different thread that one of them sold out to Google, which would explain a lot.

People who list an item on ebay - cash on collection within 3 days. Fine, but why go away for a week the day after the auction end. Especially when part of the reason I bought it was exactly because I have some time this week to pick it up.

Total twunt.

This is a knotty one - if people get more sophisticated at blocking ads, could it bring an end to the free internet?

Arguably, the adverts could get more sophisticated....

or the workers who produced the weapons of war ?

Total War is Total war, you do not understand it, how it happens or the needed suspension of morals to overcome that which has Zero morals from the outset.

Educate yourself.

I understand it

I also feel sympathy for civilians (or indeed soldiers) on the receiving end of carpet bombing

the two things aren't mutually exclusive

so keep yer knickers on

Andrew Castle's TV adverts, in person or voice-over.

He is Alan Partridge.

So do I and I don't think mentioned sympathy at all.
However, like wise you cannot separate the production tools (the workers) with the front line supply and there in is the debate on the degrees of this or that tactic.

Who? Every individual civilian killed in a bombing run? I literally have no idea how much they did to stop it happening. Do you??

What a stupid question.

the original comment was in regard to the poor blokes flying the bombers, I said I felt for the poor buggers on the receiving end, this was dismissed as 'they shouldn't have started it'

if the bombers can get sympathy, then the bombees surely can too?

The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing

What a stupid question.
It's not a stupid question at all, it's the question that is at the heart of every war. Think about, and try to produce a more considered reply next time.
