Adults who commute to work on scooters (the ones you stand on and propel with your leg, not the engine powered ones).

If you want to use the pavement, fking walk like everyone else. Otherwise, fk off and play in the traffic.

I believe the bikes should have said "Actually the perceived wisdom is that bikes make trails deeper, pedestrians make them wider."

Because while I dislike being pulled up on something I shouldn't be doing. Being told I shouldn't be doing it for the wrong reason is really beyond the pale.

National Ttrust sees bikes and Fell races on a par, not walkers. But you know best. wink

No matter, you shouldn't be up there anyway. NT Peak District (Kinder): "Cyclists have therefore been banned already from most routes across the peat bogs and fell race organisers are beginning to face restrictions upon the routes they can use."

Oh poor you, my heart bleeds. But hopefully now you've been told again it may be sinking in a bit.

Wow. Someone's had a sense of humour bypass.

(hint: When people use phrases like "beyond the pale". They are not being serious.)

The forum software doesn't have a spell checker. It's probably your browser doing that. Check your browser's language settings - it'll be set to something like American English rather than British English.

And this is why I think that it is acceptable to respond to people in this thread and debate with them over their annoyances. You have one less annoyance in your life and are now a happier person. biggrin

The need for TV stations to announce things along the lines of "the following programme contains adult themes", "contains scenes of violence from the start", "contains scenes of an adult nature". Doc Martin last week had the announcement "this programme contains scenes of a medical procedure".

Also the news presenters who state (usually about a press conference where cameras are present) - "the following report contains flashing images"

In fairness, if you have Photosensitive Epilepsy then you probably quite want to know that bit of information, much in the same way as if you are violently allergic to nuts you might be quite glad of a menu mentioning which dishes contain nuts.

You're a tiny, tiny, tiny proportion of the population if flashing lights causes a fit. That being said I'm sure you'd be grateful for the warning. I wonder why they don't say it before films, documentaries etc.

News services obviously think so. Perhaps they could do something useful and inform us of the size of the weather girl's tits.

I had fondly assumed bonnet bras had vanished into the circle of hell reserved for st car accessories, but was alarmed and disturbed to see not one but two cars wearing these pointless and ugly excrescences on Monday. frown

Today's rant is about pronunciations and why I seem to be hearing more and more people say Pacific when they mean specific or presents when they mean presence.
