Background,

We have reasonable house with parking and garage, unfortunately our street has affordable housing to which the scuzzy bds inhabit, these have limited parking.

In the past the neighbours have parked on our drive, s. I told them to move to which they did. However, they are not happy about it.

Fast forward a bit and they have just done a midnight flit and low and behold a fiat bravo has appeared in my drive sans tax and tyre tread.

The police say its registered to 'someone' in my street but that's all they will say. I suspect the scuzzers but need proof.

Can anyone help I want action now, not to write to DVLA and wait. It's in a bit of an awkward place for dragging out.

No tax you say?

Drag it into the road and inform the DVLA.

I thought you were going to say that, but best to check!

I cannot believe the cheek of some people. Do you have a car which you normally park there?

Personally, I would remove all of the wheels and leave it on bricks for a while. The owner will quickly resurface.

Get a winch then! Surely you can find a mate who can get access to a land rover with a winch.

Ever bounced a car around? It can leave some marks on the road, but works.

There was a thread about a year ago when a friendly PH'er turned in his car ( think it was SystemParanoia IIRC ) at a house of another PH'er and dragged a car off his drive for him, then left it in the middle of the road.

The pictures spoke a funny story hehe

Edited to say, damn you beat me to it biggrin and it was 3 years ago eek

That can't be right, not if it is on your property, you must have recourse to take whatever action is required to move it. What if you're wife was heavily pregnant and this car blocking your drive means you have to park 200 yards away. You must be allowed to move it surely?

If I can guarantee it belongs to who I think then I'd be happier moving it.

Put up a gate and CCTV for a couple hundred, lock the car in on your property. When the gate gets ripped down and they take the heap back, nip down to see the BiB about this act of vandalism.
