The reason people get so uppity over her (and therefore feed her trolling) is that they don't want to hear the nasty truth about things, they'd rather be faux-nice (and then snipe behind peoples backs).
^^^ That.

She is a professional troll. I cannot even remember the name of the previous one, and I am sure Katie will go the same way. The difference seems to be that there is actually quite a bit of truth in what Katie says.
She's just saying what a lot of PHers are thinking, fortunately this place is unrepresentative of the wider world.

And what is the actual "paying for it with your own money" circulation of Planet Guardian these days? hehe

Bad news for The Guardian but lefties don't need a daily dose of hate filled bile.

Every group needs it's hate figures, people outside the group to be derided and despised - it helps reinforce belonging. The left are no different, just a bit more smug and self-righteous about it.
Katie Hopkins has found a rich seam of work and is mining it for all she's worth - does she mean half of what she says? Probably not, but it keeps her in the news which in turn extends her shelf-life and bank balance.

All the PHers who agree with her and would gratefully sniff her soiled trollies for need to realise that this bh probably hates you for some reason too. She needs starved of the oxygen of publicity, (or starved of oxygen per se)

Brilliant! So you'd rather we lived in a country where those with opposing views to your own are silenced (or killed)? Wow.

Whether you agree with her views or not, you need to realise that she is deliberately controversial because she makes money from being so. But I do think she believes in most, if not all of her statements. Listening to her on LBC, she spoke intelligently and eloquently on the subject, which is more than many on PH can manage.

Your views are typical of those of the self-righteous left who believe they know what is good for everyone and refuse to even debate with those who think differently. Calling the police in and shouting the "R" word sums up a lot of what is wrong with this country. As do your comments and those like them frown

Since when was dislike for Katie Hopkins and her views a right/left issue? Do those who identify themselves as being on the right wing of the political spectrum really want to ally themselves with Hopkins or see her as representative of their views?

What does she actually achieve?

If you want to see change that badly in society, you do something about it. Politics, fundraising, set up a charity or business, whatever.

If you just deliberately stir up emotive debates which subsequently become the next day's chip paper to maintain your own celebrity status or pay the mortgage, that doesn't actually serve any purpose. She's just a forgettably crap song in the meandering soundtrack of our lives.

Many people don't like her much, but for the ones that do, the ones that share some aspect of her outlook, don't you get frustrated that the only tangible outcome or achievement is her own paycheque?

hehe Now if only pictures of her in some type of erm, errr 'Max Mosely' type of scenario with maybe a few whippings and chains and errrr that sort of stuff were forthcoming.... would there be a run on shares in Kleenex?

That's not what I said and, speaking personally, I don't agree with much of what she has to say. But I would never want her arrested/silenced for saying it (unless she truly did break the law, which I don't believe she has here).

But I see time and again that those of a left-wing persuasion would prefer to stifle debate with a "we know best" attitude, rather than debate the issues, thoughts and concerns of the day in an intelligent fashion. Because of this, and the fact that those with opposing views are shouted down as some kind of "-ist", the only voices we hear from the right are the more extreme, louder views such as those of Katie Hopkins, Nigel Farage et al.

Would you prefer that the only people with a voice in the UK are those that agree with you?

^ C'mon, she's a troll who deliberately stirs st to line her pockets; very little to do with free speech and lots to do with generating cash by being sensational.

I'd hardly call her that, Pig Ugly, she isn't, quite, but sensational?

Each to their own I guess.

Do you take everything so literally?

She seems to spend her time bashing people, running them down for any reason she can find, and making them feel st for no other reasons other than to be controversial and to raise her profile. There are lots of people like that, and other than being just one one more hypocritical fked up mentalist with deep rooted issues and an poisionous personality, I don't se what she adds to the party. If she were gone I would not miss her in the least.

rolleyes Yes, I'm jealous.

Wouldn't the world be a better place if everyone could try to be a bit more like Katie.

I have no idea what she earns and spend no time thinking about her.

What I don't get, is how do you actually monetise what she does?

I know she writes a column in a paper, but can you make money off Twitter?
