Katie Hopkins - vacuous moron

However, and I really am not condonimg what she says, we need to acknoedge that all of our 'help' I'm the poorest countries has been misguided. The money the west gives seems to have been spent on arms, the intervention in Syria, Libya, Iraq and others has been almost without merit, the hopeless immigration policy is worsening the issue, even if it helps it for a very select few.
If we selectively take the members of these states that are physically able to make the crossing, are wealthy enough to pay for it and who have the drive to try to change, then we will only ever make the losing country worse?
What she says about Africa having to sort Africa's problems, I do sort of see sense in. The West should cease interfering.
If Hawkings had said all that instead of Hopkins..If we selectively take the members of these states that are physically able to make the crossing, are wealthy enough to pay for it and who have the drive to try to change, then we will only ever make the losing country worse?

I cannot read Katie Hopkins, it's too stupid, it's too nasty and it is clearly written for a reaction. I struggle to believe she believes it herself. She is just boundary pushing in order to sell.

Like she said these people are the human equivalent of cockroaches and will survive anything. However, and I really am not condonimg what she says, we need to acknoedge that all of our 'help' I'm the poorest countries has been misguided. Are you really referring to the people trying to escape either persecution or poverty in the middle east and Africa as cockroaches? How do you figure that the people who have been drowning by their hundreds and thousands will survive anything?

I was quoting Katie Hopkins, my thoughts were why rescue them when it would only encourage others to do the same
You were approvingly quoting her, so presumably you agree that the people desperate enough to risk crossing the Med on crappy, overcrowded boats are "the human equivalent of cockroaches". That's a pretty stty opinion to hold. Why attempt to rescue drowning people? Basic human decency perhaps. Surely it must be possible to simultaneously do what we can to hamper the efforts of human traffickers while at the same time recognising the humanity of those risking all to seek the better life in Europe which we take for granted.
I think most of what KH says is true.
The execution of her statements tends to be met with revile but the underlying message is often spot on. Without the controversy she would be largely ignored and a lot worse off financially.
I'm sure I would feel differently if I was on the receiving end of her criticism. Maybe if I had a trashy council name, was reliant on government handouts or was massively overweight then I would be outraged by her musings.

Yeah, she she really believes in what she says. The execution of her statements tends to be met with revile but the underlying message is often spot on. Without the controversy she would be largely ignored and a lot worse off financially.
