Abusive calls received on my mobile tonight.

Received a couple of calls tonight on my mobile,well i say calls,the phone never actually rung??It just bleeped saying there were voice mails and they were abusive.First one was a man,second one was a woman saying the exact same thing the man said?It was a private number so is there anyway of tracing the calls?Cheers.

Or do you mean Paul Garlick? He gets around a bit. I saw some Tweet from him on the Motor Sport magazine website the other week. Was it about that Fangio's Merc. being auctioned? The one that the Mercedes museum lent to Beaulieu.

Were they directed at you i.e. did someone know it was your phone? If so report to police.

Nothing to be sorry about, don't think people 'got' my reply, i come on a forum about my misses receiving some abusive calls on my phone,get a reply about some Garlic person who doesn't like people posting on wrong forums?''garlic','onion people'if I need to explain my 'acid ridden' attempt at humour then......Thanks for all the advice though!

I had this with my GF a few years ago. First thing I did was rang the mobile operator to log that we had received these calls (some voicemail, some answered) who noted on their system what was going on. Then I rang the police, giving them a full account of what had gone on including the fact it had been logged with the mobile company, name of person I spoke to there, times etc etc.

In the end the calls stopped as soon as I answered one and told them the police were involved, and we didn't pursue it further but it wasn't pleasant.

A piece of advice I was given - do not ring them back. Let it all come from them, and keep logs of times, what is said etc in case it is needed.

Yes, The number is only withheld from you - The carrier will still have a record of it.
