Well my parents never had a bank account or cheque book throughout their whole lives. Father kept everything, which was just enough to pay the bills and feed themselves, in a brown case on the top shelf of the wardrobe, with envelopes inside marked up for, electricity, housekeeping, rent etc.

How that for a first world problem wink
First world? Practically medieval.
More stone age to be honest.

I don't know if its a first world problem, but I've noticed the outside edge of one of my back molars has disappeared. The middle of said tooth is all filling, so its now 1/3 tooth by the tongue, 1/3 filling and 1/3 missing in action.

I'm not sure went it happened, I didn't feel anything. I just noticed that it feels sharper than normal. Anyway a trip to the dentist for me then next week. frown

My wife has put the wine glasses behind the champagne flutes. It just so happens that I've opened a bottle of expensive red wine, and had to move 4 flutes in order to retrieve my glass. Upon entering the lounge, my wife asked if she could have a glass as well. That means I not only have to share my wine, but I have to repeat the tedious process of moving the flutes again.

I should really send her in to do it, but I'm a gentleman and she's watching "take me out" with a "dishy fireman" on it.

I am surrounded by imbeciles. FML.

Well my relaxing dog walk today turned into anything but. First I had to queue for several minutes to buy a parking ticket and then I realised I'd clashed our walk with the get together of a running meet (hence large numbers of people in the ticket queue who had there own first world problems of whether they would get to their meet in time!)

My peaceful walk became a dodge the joggers game with my dog (sho was actually brilliant and ignored the joggers for the most part, an occasional reminder from me helped aswell!)

I guess an appropriate fwp response here could have been 'should I go for bog standard amalgam to try and just repair it, or go for a full ceramic or gold crown?' (which it could need with only a third of the current tooth remaining).

What fresh hell is this? The toilet paper at home now refuses to tear properly along the perforations, leading to dangly bits, malformed paper and bits on the floor.

It's nearly enough to make me want to go to the loo at work. Nearly.

Sign of the times it would seem as our kitchen roll has the same problem. I've not heard any Calais tent dwellers moaning about their kitchen roll so things cant be all that bad for them.

I imagine when we had the Empire, you could cut your fking finger on the perforation.

Or one's staff would do that for one.

My new Loakes have got a frightful case of "clutch crease". Next car to be an auto or to include a driver methinks.

Perhaps your housekeeper has switched to an inferior 'own brand' product? I suggest you fine her a week's salary, and issue a final warning.

I'm afraid Sir may have had to let his housekeeper go if he is degrading himself by going into work.

Sadly not me but another PHer who I won't name for obvious reasons recently went for an interview at large organisation. A week or so later I asked him how he got on. He said "They offered me the job, on £120k. I haven't been on that for 10 years!".

He took the job on the salary but only did 3 day weeks!

I haven't been on a proper First World salary for 15 years. I scrape by on the scraps that fall from the table of powerfully built directors.

My Loakes have developed a bad case of "accelerator crease", and I mainly drive an automatic.
Time for yet another driver/car valet, I think - one for each car.
But the locals will be up in arms if I build yet another "accommodation block" (concrete cell) onto the stables.
God, modern life is hard. Sometimes I wish I was dead.

Yesterday I had a drive to an event that involved an A-road blast at sunrise, so I elected to take the BMW. Unfortunately, I left my sunglasses in the Range Rover.

Today I took the Abarth to work because the Range Rover is full stuff for another project. Because I wear stout Doc Martin boots for my work, I was unable to heel and toe and thus didn't enjoy the drive in as much as I could have done.

I don't know how I manage to find the will to carry on, sometimes...

Only one pair of sunglasses? Tut. I insist on a pair per car.

Online, I ordered some frozen mango chunks with my weekly shop so I could use them when making smoothies.
My cleaner unpacked the delivery and put them in the fridge which has allowed them to defrost over night.
We will have to eat them all in the next 24 hours.
