Really? On the NatWest app you'd need to have [I estimate] a trillion pounds or more to not be able to view the figure in portrait mode. Unless you own a tiny phone?
Clearly his "town centre property" was London town centre wink
And by "London town centre", the whole centre of London.

My brother's first world problems.... a £3K refund cheque turned up out of the blue for a historic loan (not PPI).

It might get spent on some kite surfing equipment - but his daughter *needs* a new harp (£9K) - decisions decisions.

It's 20 hours until lunchtime. Have the sous chef go get some, earn his money.

actually having thought about it, the fact that's borrowed money in the past might erode his chances!

The loan could well have been to pay for the first harp smile

Found out this morning that my new dental floss (or dental tape as I note it is now called) is just too slippery.

Seriously, you wrap it around each digit 3 times or 4 times, but when you pull, the twirled ends don't get enough purchase to ensure the usable length stays taut. They just slowly, but unceasingly, unwind around my fingers.

I hate to confess, but it really annoyed me, inexplicably so. Why would someone design something like this! Surely someone in the factory would have tested it and said to the boss "Nope, we've made it too waxy, it's just crap to use, we better try again and make it less waxy".

The solution I found was to pull an entire arm spans worth and wrap it around each finger about 15 times - that worked but made both fingertips go purple. So in a strop I called it a fker and threw it in the bin.

As evening approaches it's now playing on my mind that I haven't got any dental floss.

Can you not ask one of the Hookers for a loan of a clean G string?

I dont know whether to use my student loan to part finance a high mileage BMW M5 or whether I will face financial ruin. Also I'd have to sell my Range Rover as well. Decisions decisions.

My new car doesn't have a USB input for audio - my options are either an Aux feed (which then doesn't display the track details on the screen) or an MP3 CD (which does display means the track details on the screen) but, well, a CD just feels a bit "1995" if I'm honest compared to a couple of USB drives.

This week I've decided to sell one of my five investment properties - bought as a new-build 4-bed in 2005. It's appreciated extremely well, despite it's provincial location, and stands to make me a nice profit.

As a PH qualifying aside, some of the funds released - apart from being used to modernise my own home - will be used to buy a classic car of some description.

However there have already been two rather vexatious issues - the first being the disappointing capital gains tax bill which I have calculated, and the second being the tenants complaining about 'how and where' they are going to go now. The mere fact that I generously haven't put up the rent once, in the 4 years that they've been living there, clearly escapes them....

What should be a simple transaction is turning into a bigger issue than I first anticipated. I might well throw myself under a bus tomorrow....
