Wife and daughter have gone to New York for three weeks, leaving me alone in the house, here in the Philippines. I'm a bit bored already, can't think of much to do apart from play in the garage with my man-toys.

I have to do all my own housework some days as well, as the maid only comes in four days a week. frown

That is damned annoying. The same thing happened to my salt shaker.
That sounds distressing. Are you both OK ?

surely you'll have to do all your own housework all of the days because you'll be banging the maid for 4 days straight?

Virgin trains have teamed up with James Martin and produced a new menu in first class and its gone all healthy yoghurt and squirrel food.
No sign of sliced pig anywhere.

I work away on average 2-3 nights a week.

Last week I had to book a hotel that didn't have air conditioning in the bedrooms. They didn't even provide a fan - and the local Tesco Extra had sold out.

OH has booked us for something this lunchtime.
Going to have to watch the F1 on C4+1.
FFS it's not even in HD.

Has she led a particularly hard life then? WTF's wrong with 51? I'd got the impression you weren't a spring chicken yourself smile

The chilled water function on my Zip tap has stopped working and the ice maker function on my freezer has failed. I am now limited to what's in the fridge in the way of cold drinks.

If you don't have a valet to press them for you, I suggest you go to stay in an hotel until such time as Corby send out the emergency repair team.

They just said the can't install on a Sunday lunchtime with 15 minutes notice and nobody in the house, and then set it up to record the F1 for me.
I don't know what's wrong with companies these days.
I thought the customer was always right?

I just got a short shift kit installed on my 130i, but the shifter is now so short it's hidden behind the handbrake lever. The struggle is real.

Well, not that!

Short shift kits are generally to reduce the throw, not to make the stick shorter laugh

Got any pictures of it?
It's the offical BMWP option. It does reduce throw (via a new gear linkage), but also shortens the stick. I admit I mostly got it because it looks cool.

...also, it serves as a continuous reminder of how weak my left arm is.
