I just got a short shift kit installed on my 130i, but the shifter is now so short it's hidden behind the handbrake lever. What's the fking point.
Well, not that!Short shift kits are generally to reduce the throw, not to make the stick shorter
Got any pictures of it?

Blimey the auto dial on our Evoque rises up higher than that!
The steering wheel control for the stereo on the DD seems to have picked up an intermittent fault. So now I don't know if I go for volume up it'll either increase volume as expected or unexpectedly change track.
I actually have to take an arm off the wheel and reach for the control on the stereo to be certain, except I keep forgetting, go for more volume and sometimes get "next track" instead, try and go back a track and it skips to the next disk.
It's not a serious enough fault to take it into be looked at before a service but it's really beginning to get annoying.

It's the offical BMWP option. It does reduce throw (via a new gear linkage), but also shortens the stick. I admit I mostly got it because it looks cool. ...also, it serves as a continuous reminder of how weak my left arm is.

National tyres didn't have the tyres I ordered in stock so gave me an upgrade to what they did have in stock as a FOC inconvenience compo (unasked for) which should have cost £100 a corner extra
probs means you were paying way over the odds in the first place, but i guess it's not very first world to waste valuable time trying to get a good deal!Blown2CV said:
