surely you'll have to do all your own housework all of the days because you'll be banging the maid for 4 days straight?
This one is 51 years old.....yikes
Has she led a particularly hard life then? WTF's wrong with 51? I'd got the impression you weren't a spring chicken yourself smile
If I'm going to put my life in jeopardy for some tail, it is going to be for some sweet little 20 year old, not a well worn 50+ cleaner.
If it's good enough for Arnie...biggrin

hehe

Question is, do you happen to drive a BMW, Audi, Merc or Jag (or posher)? because surely that wouldnt entitle you to running over the prole?

Audi S8 but I didn't want to scratch the paint. In all honesty I was going to park next to the tent but figured my bonnet may get used as a latrine. I'm getting the tram in tomorrow.

I'm about to go off on a long trip, but I'm a very fast reader. Oh, and I don't like e-readers - I infinitely prefer proper books.
As a result, I need to get this little lot into my hand luggage...

You are aware that reading a book entails more than just looking at the pictures?

Helped the old man yesterday by offering to cut the grass while he was away, but he failed to mention that the lawn tractor was away for servicing, the large Hayter push mower was in no fit state to be used, so I had to use his 2nd backup mower; an old Mountfield with a measly 17" cut to mow ~ 1 acre of lawn grumpy

Out for dinner in the hotel restaurant where we are staying and it took far too long to get food onto our tables and service generally slow. Complained and we got offered complimentary round of drinks. Those took too long so I left in a huff and am now sat in the hotel bar opposite the restaurant drinking whiskey.

Judging by the cut-backs.... (No pun intended).

I know people that do this, take a bunch of books on holiday and spend a whole week or more lying by the pool or lying at the beach, reading a book.

I don't get it. If you want to be warm, and read a book, stay at home, put the heating on, and save yourself a pile of money.

I go on holiday to do stuff, see places, try new things, not sit about and read a book.
In defence of CC - he has said a long trip, not a holiday. (And it wouldn't be my holiday of choice, but each to their own - but I do like a lol about in the sun reading for at least one afternoon on hols)

I agree with his stance on e-readers. Though I am slightly surprised to see Ben Elton nestled in there....

I can read a book in a few hours so still leaves a lot of time for other activities.

Ive got a 10" tablet with usefull apps to work both the sky box and the av amp.

But I cant have them both open in one split screen as one app doesnt support this. Plus the tv being an ancient 9 years old plasma still requires its remote just for the power button.

Whats the point of it all.

Get a tablet with an IR port.

The "flagship killer" mobile phone I've just ordered is too popular so the manufacturer have paused shipping to allow them to catch up.
This means I have to wait a further 2 weeks before it'll be shipped.

OH THE HUGE MANATEE!
I too am waiting for my One Plus 3 to be shipped and am having to 'put up with' my iPhone 6 in the mean time.
