He is officially Barking. (But an excellent run ashore)... I bumped in to him recently at Glasgow airport. He tried to get me to bin my flight to Southampton and go on the lash with him.
He is a very dangerous man on the lash. He's still flying SAR out of Prestwick.

Not me but my younger boy was in the Royal Navy, as a helicopter engineer. Now he's off shore flying in the damned things, although he reckons the Navy was much better at maintenance, allegedly of course.

And to keep this on the Aston forum, he has of course been a passenger in mine on many occasions but I've never let him wash it. smile

Go for it Bob, as you know, there is simply nothing better than punching up through the clouds to get VMC on top. It's always sunny up there, and you never need worry about the roof....
Look forward to swapping stories soon. yes

Don't tell us Bob that BR are trying to fit wings to Vesuvius for christ's sake, this is getting all a bit Chitty now.....

Your sleek as a thorough bred
Your seats like a feather bed
You'll turn every bodies head today
We'll glide on our motor trip
With pride in our ownership
The envy of all we survey
Oh Chitty you chit.........................

Could have been written specially for VESUVIUS don't you think...thumbup

Bins,

Viewing your flying machines the constant seems to be that they have a creatures name.

That in mind and your occupation I put forward Kaboobie,a magical flying Camel from the 60's
TV Cartoon series Shazam.

It had magical powers to thrill and the ability to fly and occasionally could give you the hump,
bit like an Aston don't you think.

Hi Molly,

One of my good friends was on 'Op Nimrod' who I am still in touch with. And of course John 'Mac' McAleese was until he died in 2011. I was based in Chicksands but used to pop over to 'H' and PATA twice a year. (April and November).
