How could there possibly be any defence of this. Every single one of them should have their licence taken off them, especially the coach driver!

A failing of traffic management and policing. Rather than blaming joe public trying to use their judgement to escape a bad situation.

I await the onslaught of opposing opinion and those who will quote the black and white of the letter of law!

Video of a bloke who's face was burnt off as the result of an electrocution.

BE WARNED.....It's not pleasant. No gore or anything like that, just a report shown on the news, about this bloke and how he see's and adapts to life post accident.

Don't know if I'd be as level headed as him about it.

Trucker Vs Motorbike in central London.

Scary either

a) How little you can see out of a truck

or

b) How little attention the trucker is paying.

All turned out quite amicable though!

Hmm, half of me realises that's a really lucky escape but you could see that developing for long enough to simply stop the bike.

Really? you think? to me it looks like the lorry is going straight on at the point where the guy looks behind him. when he starts turning in and the biker starts talking he's got what a second to move the bike to the right maybe? he's deffo not got enough time to push it anywhere with his feet

Watch it a few more times...

Yep, I've watched it a couple of times now. He could have easily moved to the right, I'm sure though he was just caught by surprise and expected the wagon to stop. Looking at his headcam footage though, it's clear there's no way the driver could see him. He probably glanced across before turning into the street and had one eye on the old dear with the pram.

Scary how easily that can happen frown

Agreed, it can happen.
Not making excuses for the truck driver, but every wagon is different. An artic can often turn in a smaller space than a rigid truck, sometimes you need a huge swing out in a rigid to make a turn compared to an artic. Often a rigid will feel like it's pushing the front of a truck much further out wide than in an artic. Then you have the massive area of vision you can lose behind a trucks mirrors and this alters from artic too rigid, and every manufacturers trucks will have a different perspective on what you may it nay not be able to see.
I'd imagine in this instance the truck driver was spending so much time looking in his near side mirrors as he was making the turn, watching for vehicles diving up his inside and the lady with the pram, that he may well have lost the bike behind what would have been a big blind spot in this instance behind his near side mirrors.
Only my opinion, and that doesn't count for much, just glad the biker was ok.
