What the fk were you thinking? Tell her she isn't pregnant so that you can later tell her you lied so that you had time to get your head round it? So she has to get her head around being pregnant and you lying? Will she be drinking over thanks giving?

Seriously major major fk up on your part. Hopefully it will be a funny story to tell on the child's 18th birthday or wedding.

As I'm sure you know, for the healthy development of a baby pregnant mothers should avoid things like alcohol, tobacco, drugs, certain prescription medication etc. But of course she doesn't know that she's pregnant so....

This just adds to the complication of the situation. Tell her soon
This, big time. It's negligent not to tell her the truth.

Just tell her, "you've been looking a bit peaky the last few days. Why don't we run another test, just to be sure.?

As someone has said, these tests are not 100%

Occasionally you get a 'false positive' reading.
No you don't.

You may well get a false negative if the hormone levels are low. A positive result means that pregnancy hormones are detectable, therefore her body believes it is pregnant.

OP: you're a divvy. She's going to be your wife. You're supposed to share this kind of st. BUT you do have a way out of this, as others have said - suggest a retest in a week's time. The '6 day early' tests are quite likely to show a false negative.

Tomorrow will be a nice relaxed day and we'll sit down and talk smile
Yes that's exactly what will happen, talking, relaxed talking.

If I'd made your mistake I'd now keep my gob shut about it for around the next 20 years or so. It'll be a funny story to tell on graduation day or at the child's wedding.

Congrats!

And then just make sure that for the rest of your life you never mention the fact tray you knew before she did, because that would never be funny.

Judging by your username you're 30 years old, your fiance is pregnant and you're scared to tell her the truth as you're worried about her reaction?

Wow. Just wow.

I'd say grow a set and tell her but you have the exam result to prove you have them already. Perhaps find a Spine Test and try that.

Just curious, but was that a suggestion to get her drunk and throw her down the stairs to get rid of it, or doing that to yourself to get you out of the pickle?
Getting her drunk and throwing her down the stairs is one of the traditional methods of forcing a miscarriage, isn't it?
It's better than a wire coathanger anyway....

V quick update as it's late... she went for an 'extra' glass of wine this evening at the wedding we were attending so I had to tell her - in the fairness the setting was beautiful, but she was obviously surprised. A previous poster said that it would be the end of us which I sniggered at, but in fairness that wasn't out of the question, so extra pistonhead points to you. Her mum now knows too, and at the moment is being rather lovely about things. I'm on the verge of being a happy parent to be, but looking forwards to tomorrow with a nice clean fresh day!

Congratulations OP. Very glad to see you've manned up and told her, I'm sure she'll understand your earlier poor decision. All you can do know is lay it on about how thrilled you are as she may interpret your porky pies that you didn't want her to be pregnant.

You`re bloody lucky she`s that understanding!

I think the lesson to take from this is not to bullst her about things in future because, from personal experience, if you lose the trust in a relationship then it`s fked and you won`t get it back.

In her shoes I would be worrying about how much I could trust you and whether you really had my back, which is 90% of any relationship.

Been there, bought the T Shirt, hard lesson learned. Always be straight with your other half, especially about the big stuff.

Good luck and congratulations (Sincerely).

Both her and her mother totally understood why I didn't tell her straight away, and why I then told her before she had another glass of wine.

This.

Oh and when you do finally tell her, you must say it went the special darker shade which means twins or triplets.
