I had a set of Babyliss Clippers but the battery failed to hold a charge, and they wouldn't cut short enough. Got some Phillips ones for Xmas half price. Excellant cut, you change the hair length by mm and got a really good cut.

Tesco's still might have them half price i think.

How long is the charging lead AyBee?
Quite long. Not at home right now but will measure later and let you know.
The answer was 1.8m.

Thanks AyBee, that sounds similar to the Remington so just a bit too short for head-over-the-bath use. smile

Thanks again.

Used this for ten years and it shaves down to the scalp - superb. They also take the standard wahl attachments for cutting longer. Worth the extra cash.

Ok, im not a bloke but need to buy my lovely man a new set of something.

He uses clippers on his head with no guard but quite often the clippers nip his head or catch.

Also beard trimmers. I like my man with a beard. Every four or five days he cuts his head hair and beard the same length but i prefer him with a beard. The current clippers dont really do a good job.

So we need new clippers and a beard trimmer but preferably one that does the whole job. Does such a thing exist?

I can quite easily trim my stubble either with no attachments, and use the adjustment lever to the required length, or using the 3mm (No.1) when a bit thicker.

I've never used a beard trimmer either.

I used to use my corded hair clippers on my beard before I got the trimmer kit. I do find it better using the cordless for this now though.

WAHL Super Taper..... buy once!!

As someone who owns a hair salon, believe me, the above answer is the only correct one. Buy cheap, buy twice & all that but looked after (lubrication to blades once a week at most) a pair of these will outlast your balding bonce.

Good to hear I made the right decision... having cut all my hair off for charity in March. The ST are fantastic. and like you say, should last a few decades!

Just wanted to warn peeps that if they search on a well-known auction site, and unearth a set of Super Taper's in RED - Wahl informed me yesterday that they will be copies and not oem speci!

If anyone wants any wahl super tapers then just pm me for future reference, I can supply & deliver at cost price. There's a nice set going at the moment that come with the wahl mini rechargeable mini clippers. We use both in the salon & the super tapers are still going strong on the shop floor (with minimum oiling I might add) well over 10 years later

Wall balding clippers will do the job, I use mine with no guard and it's yet to come close to cutting me, 2 different sized guards are included if he wanted to do his beard with them.

The same as i linked to earlier. So £56.99 bricks 'n mortar. I imagine you could provide them to others for around £20 less'ish?

I would have bought from amazon with Prime, but I knew I'd be in the area of the shop I purchased from, so took that route instead.

I'd get them for around £40 inc the vat so with postage there'd be very little in it, wih online retailers you can almost always find someone selling selling stuff at a tiny percent profit so you didn't do badly at all thumbup
