Was chatting to a very attractive young lady the other day. Though I was doing rather well, making her laugh and all that.

Until she patted me on the shoulder and said "you are funny, you're just like my dad"
Ouch!
A knife straight in the chest would have been less painful

I'll just leave this here as seems appropriate.

Another year has passed
and we're all a little older.
Last summer felt hotter
and winter seems much colder.

There was a time not long ago
when life was quite a blast.
Now I fully understand
about 'Living in the Past'

We used to go to weddings,
football games and lunches.
Now we go to funeral homes,
and after-funeral brunches.

We used to have hangovers,
from parties that were gay.
Now we suffer body aches
and while the night away.

We used to go out dining,
and couldn't get our fill.
Now we ask for doggie bags,
come home and take a pill.

We used to often travel
to places near and far.
Now we get sore asses
from riding in the car.

We used to go to nightclubs
and drink a little booze.
Now we stay home at night
and watch the evening news.

That, my friend is how life is,
and now my tale is told.
So, enjoy each day and live it up...
before you're too damned old.

When someone (at work usually) asks what you're up to at the weekend, and you reply "few beers, watch the football", when you're really thinking "I've got a nice bit of cheese, I'll need to get a selection of crackers".

Racing my bike in the Veteran's class.

Nasal hair so long it's tickling the other side.

Remembering when 185/60/14s were low profile.

And a little saying,
"By the time a man realises his father was right, he has a son that doesn't believe him."

Dam I have that holding something to read it and having to move my hand away until it comes in focus. Had my eyes checked last year I was 20/20. I mentioned that when I hold things this close demonstrating I can't read it and have to pull my hand away, she said I shouldn't be able read that close, but I have always been able to do so in the past.

If you think It's bad now, wait until your arms aren't long enough to read anything.

Its 8:30 and I'm already looking forward to my bed frown

I've visited the doctors more times past 2 years, than the previous 45. I also hate the fact that the nurse who takes my BP talks to me like I'm 90 years old.

Getting old sucks.

You know you're old when that primarily means "Jethro Tull".

Yeah. And just about the only people I'd heard of at the 2014 Grammy awards were Paul and Ringo.

I remember when 70% were performance tyres, anything lower was exotic.

My mates kids turned Celebrity Big Brother over last night as they were sick of me saying, "who is that?". I only recognised Jim Davidson which was the only one they didn't know!
