The full 10 minutes it took me to calculate how old I was when I started my current job.

Kept interrupting myself with thoughts of "Nooooooooo, I couldn't have been? Start again..."

I was 24 and I am now 31.

I'm not uncomfortable being 31 - I just can't remember where my youth went!

Yesterday was the day that Marty Mcfly went back to the future from 1985.

Yeah. And just about the only people I'd heard of at the 2014 Grammy awards were Paul and Ringo.
I'd say you and I are in the same boat!
Then you might like this which was on Radio 4 earlier this evening: Mitch Benn is the 37th Beatle - very funny.

I saw a guy talking on one of those Motorola Razr flip phones and had to do a double take.

That phone makes the Razr seem positively high tech!

Reading the McCann libel thread on here.

Yes I know I've posted on it awhile back but how can people be that bothered to be that bothered so that it now seems to have run out of control. Eventually one or other of the opinions will be proved right but some people on here can't actually have any work to do as they seem to be posting on there every five minutes about something they have no influence on at all. Its all just bobby big bks basically. I just don't have the energy or enthusiasm to keep up anything like that anymore. cry

Yes I know I started the Saab Gone thread but at least that was something to do with cars.

Where's me cocoa? getmecoat

Mirrors!

Who is that old git in all of them?

60 in June this year and shave either in the dark or avoiding a mirror.

I don't need plastic surgery - just ironing...

I saw a youtube of a guy sorting through some old 78s a young girl (daughter or granddaughter) asked what they were.
"It's how we use to listen to music"
"How do you carry them about they are so big"

The conversation continued, when he told her there was only one song on each side, she walked off 'cos she thought he was joking.

Personal aging symptoms.
Reading the age of some of these rock stars and wondering how they got that old and then realise I have kept pace with them.
Tend to jump in the pool instead of diving.
Purchase of a shoe horn for putting on boots.
Sitting down to put on socks.

And of course the one that afflicts many.
At 17 only 5% of girls looked attractive.
Once the other 95% start to look doable you are officially old.

It's CVs for me. I see a lot of them. Just met a bright graduate this morning who was born in 1992. Surely a mistake I thought. No. She was really born when I was learning to smoke.
