Realising that someone who was born in the year "The Mask" was released considers that making him feel old.

What really made me feel old is that I watched it the other day and thought it was 02/04 type of age as I used to watch it as a kid aswell.

Another one is people that were 4 years below me in school are having kids. And I'm wondering about what car to get next..

Finally succumbing to buying a pair of ALDI specs so I can read the labels on the back of food in ALDI.

Felt better after a quick chat with the security guard (see the ALDI thread in the food section), he was the only person around I could ask if they looked ok. On chatting I asked how old he was, late thiries he told me, I asked him how old he thought I was, mid thirties he told me.

RESULT!

Fifty is looming pretty close now for me!

Realising when I was 40 (2 years ago now) it was 25 years since I left school and I had 25 years until I retire.

Another one that has buggered me up a couple of times recently....

For some reason or another, it seems that ITV 4 want to broadcast, on a fairly regular basis - the original Back to the Future film.

Whenever I see it on, I get complete joy, start to watch it, and then slowly assimilate the fact that it is from 1985.....when I was 13.....

Ad then.....ahhhh.....dammit.....I is old!

A girl I was at school with but who was too young to be interesting (she was 2nd year when I was 6th form or thereabouts) is the FORMER mayor.

Speaking to a woman I used to have a flirty relationship with (she was about 8 years older than me but certainly didn't look it), it turns out that her scatty daughter is now a professor.

I was 19.

It was the same year as the Paul Hardcastle song called 19.

I want to be 19 again.

I'm only 4 years older than my coursemates... whenever I try talking about tv shows from childhood, they haven't a clue about most of them!

Anyone remember:
Zzzap!
SMTV live
Home Farm Twins
Get Your Own Back
Bike Mice From Mars

and not forgetting Otis the Aardvark and Kirsten O'Brien ( lick ) on CBBC?

I feel old (I am old) when a group of died in the wool Alfa fans don't understand why a beautifully detailed jet black Alfa 147GTA with black tints, black interior and gloss black rims could do with a Disaster Zone sticker

I mean really, where's my towel...
Maybe they remember this band instead -

Watching Dr No this afternoon, remarking to wifey about James Bonds drive being a Sunbeam Tiger with a 4.3 litre engine and explaining to her about it's development from the Rootes group Sunbeam Alpine. Finally realising that after 40 odd years of motoring enthousiasm from me, she doesnt give a flying fk about any aspect of automotive history.
teacher It was an Alpine, there's no FoMoCo smallblock hiding in there.

My knees are definitely older than I feel.

Looks like a fish, moves like a fish, steers like a cow.

But while I'm here the trailers for Glue on CH4 make me feel old. The girl policeman who is clearly in charge of the investigation in the programme looks about 14.

So old. I feel like the man in the shack.
