Realising that my "couple of year old car" is 6 years old.

realising that "The Mask" was released the same year as my birth..
The mask? I mean the mask? Released in 1994 and you feel old? Your 21 and you are feeling old... Jesus,I've had a rough week with it being my birthday, and posts like this sure don't help...

It could have been worse though.

Imagine putting your new specks on and realising she wasn't that gorgeous after all.

It has happened whistle

Being genuinely impressed the first time I saw the state-of-the-art, futuristic computer animation in Dire Strait's 'Money for Nothing' video

On a related note, I also remember when MTV played music videos.

I'm only 25 (soon to be 26) so still a young 'un. However we have had a few apprentices start in work recently. Trying to get to know them and one told me his first games console was a PS2, mine was a NES. Then talking with the other guys at lunch, discussing the new Jurassic World trailer, I was asked whether I liked the original and how old I was when it came out. I informed them I loved it, but I was 4 when it released in '93 so didn't see it until it was on video a year or so later. The apprentice then says "you watched it on video?" to which I reply, "Well, yeah... there was no DVD" and he responds with "I can vaguely remember the local video shop, it was closing down." ... vaguely remembers video rental shops!?

Of course I felt young again when the other guys started talking about betamax.

The realisation that Mike Oldfield presented Tubular Bells II live at Edinburgh Castle 23 years ago rolleyes I still think of this as the 'modern one'.

And then I realised that the first Tubular Bells was released eek 42 years ago yikes

I'm very old weeping
