Was going to mention Top Gear, I couldn't believe how young they all look when I saw the Vietnam special the other day, doesn't seem that long ago that was on.

I felt old the other day...

I was talking with the misses about my year spent in Australia way back when I was 18, some 20 years ago. She reminded me that she would've been 6.

Oh, and I'm going bald and my ears have hair in them frown

My family and I play a game where we guess the year of famous songs (someone suggests one and then looks it up online while the others guess).

Almost each time we're all far wrong (ie guessing that songs from 1987 came out in 1997 or similar)

My Dad and I are both amazing at this game, it's one of my few talents.

I should add that it's from about 1995 onwards for me - about the time I can remember things being regularly on the radio and link them with a time and place I heard them smile

Anyway, still driving a Cayman and being asked by my kids " when will you get a sensible car"
Answer.....Never! Looked at growing up and did not like it!
Daughter is a Dr.by the way so maybe has a point.
You stick with the Cayman - it will help to keep you young!!!

Working with people that are more than half my age when I still feel as if I'm 18. Oh, and I act as if I am!
Also being as old, or older than, their parents.

Not so much 'feeling old' but, the hesitation before answering to 'how old are you' seems to be increasing with one's age.

There's never enough beads on the abacus and have to use my fingers as well. irked

It's not something I usually think about, TBH. So when asked and having arrived at the answer, think to myself 'bloody hell' before actually answering the question.

Wen my 30-years-younger-than-me niece says she thinks the 90s were only 10 years ago - how does she think we feel then!

I generally have no idea what the date is, seems to be getting worse as I get older.

On the flip side I no longer worry about how quickly time flies.

Surely you're really old when it's the first thing you tell anyone, including complete strangers.
