Things that make you feel old...
Discussion
In all honesty I don't feel old however there are some things that make me realise I'm not a youngster anymore:
My favourite film is over 20 years old, the early 90's was 20 years ago.
The thing that should make me feel old but doesnt is that I'm just 39, my eldest is 21 and I'm a grandad.

I've always had bad circulation, over the christmas break I finally got fed up with it and went to M&S to get some slippers
1. M&S for fecks sake, my Grandad used to wear jumpers from there
2. Buying slippers
3. Get to the pay desk to find the girl serving is all of about 17 and is looking at me like "You're an old fogey!"
I promise I'm never going to own a tartan rug though..

I've just been eyeing up the girl at the counter in McDonald's and realised she's probably only 5 years older than my son. /Sigh

Next year is 2015.
That'll be 30 years since 1985.
In the film Back to the Future, they travelled back 30 years to 1955. So if Back to the Future were made next year, they'd be travelling back to 1985.
Christ that puts it into perspective! That'll be 30 years since 1985.

I am 33 this year and i still have no kids (but a nagging mrs who wants them soon). I can remember my mum throwing my a dad a party for his 30th (he is 58 now) as if it was yesterday, when i hit 30 that made me feel old.
I've had some grey hair for years, but during one haircut last year I looked down and all of the hair that had been cut off was grey for the first time.
I always thought that being short-sighted all my life meant I would never need reading glasses as I could always see close up. 2-3 years ago I started needing glasses to see things far away and different glasses to see things close up. By the time I can focus on small things, they are too far away to see properly
