Without having to read through twenty pages of posts, can anybody tell me if anybody ever found out what the OP meant by "Stop saying Demond"?
Heard it several times

It's "demon" not "demond"

Maybe I hang around too many religious nuts?

What do think about "texted"?

e.g. "I texted him yesterday"

I suspect it's ok but it sounds so st to me it drives me potty - Surely "I sent him a text yesterday" would be far more eloquent?

So would you be offended by "text me" rather than "send me a text" as an instruction?

Standing in the queue in M&S today and a lady in her '40's in front talking to her friend about "burrowing" money from the bank to pay for her A Class banghead

Is she going to tunnel into the bank to get it? banghead

I don't so much mind 'texted' as a verb in modern usage, at least they are getting the past tense right.

Far less irritating than "he/she text me last night"

Shopping on Saturday in Sainsbury and overheard a woman asking a lad, who was busy filling the freezer cabinets, where she could find the Potato Rockets laugh

Student aged employee responded by asking her if she actually meant Potato Croquettes - rather than answering the question she stormed off in a huff laugh
