Yep. Nobody with those grammar and spelling skills should be in a position to have a chauffeur, unless they mean "taxi" in a poncy way.

I thought you had made that up as a joke! It doesn't even seem as though it's supposed to be tongue-in-cheek, or sarcastic. eek

It was made up as a joke, it was on a thread of similar but serious comments so I made a funny one.

16 year old girl stuck in a drain, followed by predictable embarrassing comments such as "I would", and "lovely pair of norks"

"At 17 I was very attacted to 17 year old girls and there was nothing legally or moraly wrong with that"
Especially cringe worthy when it's one of your own quotes paraphrased paperbag

In my defence, I'd like to think it was out of character and I was trying to argue against those saying she was fat. The norks comment was my stooping to their level to appeal to the crowd.

The above is only mitigation though and I plead guilty as charged judge

I reckon you should've used a smiley, such as the one I've used at the top of my post. Otherwise if you read it in context with the rest of the F1 thread, it doesn't come across as it should! biggrin

Oh yes, maybe I should've done, I hadn't thought of that. I assumed it was obvious at the time, but when I saw the comment quoted here, it did look a bit funny.

It was in a thread about a car and then as soon as it transpired that a PHer had bought it someone came out with a comment about how Gavin (presumably his Christian name, not his username) had made such a great decision to buy it. I just had to say something, I couldn't help myself smile

I knew he was joking, I would have said it was obvious to most he was joking.

Has this been nominated yet:

Some (unintentional) comedy gold in there, it goes beyond cringeworthy, through desperate and depressing and even becomes rather sweet, at times.

yes

There's some good stuff in there - the odd £30 here or there for a speaker or some other gadget is quite interesting, but then there's always some willy-waver who's determined to be richer than yaou, one recent one was someone casually spunking over a ton (I think) on a wallet (I guess it was handmade, yah?). Hardly frivolous, more like an intended posing point for the pub, the water cooler, or an internet forum.

Should we rename you "Bob" as you're not quite so Opulent? wink
I agree though. smile

This one had me "stumped" earlier rolleyespaperbag , as with many other PHers who responded.

No thread yet, but when CH reviews/makes a video of the Laferrari, I wonder how many people will change their views, from P1 fans to LaFerrari cuz their buddy CH said so.

I don't read CH articles because if I do I feel obliged to come back and read the arse licking and fawning that inevitably follows. It's like a tick.

I then feel sick.

Me too. I'm also not sure what makes me cringe more, people referring to him as "Chris" or people referring to him as "Monkey". Harris I could deal with, the other two definitely not.
