On the left is the St. George cross, the emblem of Milan, and on the right is the Biscione, a serpent eating either a baby or a week long ban from the forum.

Let's face it, since Stuart and Garlick left, it feels like it's being run by children anyway.
Well if we're being honest they lost most of the rudder after ted left, mods left without someone to provide useful advice and woe betide anyone if it was outside of 9-5 monday to friday, i've seen plenty of site cockups left for the whole weekend before.

And when harris jumps ship we will be left with a bunch of bloggers writing the front page content. sleep

At the dry cleaners? Don't forget to keep shaking his hand and don't maintain eye contact.

Come on, there's got to be more to your banning than that!
I st ye not, that was it!

On a thread about bizarre logos, someone mentioned it, and I said 'it's a serpent eating a baby or [unrepeatable]', which I could have been more subtle about I admit, but that was that.

On enquiring, I got this:

We would rather you didn't make comments like that on our site, regardless of whether you see no harm, or believe it was misinterpreted, and so this is our way of making that point.

When your access returns we hope you will refrain from making similar posts.
ermm which I guess I've just breached. See you later? biggrin

That's fantastic! Top modding there. On a motoring site as well.

It was. It was the commonly used name for a follower of a popular religion.

John Pilger is a very good journalist, Harris writes and speaks well about cars, drives them well and I think he is very knowledgeable. His problem is that he writes and speaks about cars, and owns cars, only a very very small percentage of the population could afford, and he's not shy in flaunting his wealth (which doesn't come from being a blogger and a YouTube "sensation" I presume). Unlike Clarkson et al he does it with very little humour, this is going to attract a) sycophants and b) haters. He knows it, we know it, it is what it is.

Flemke, all this talk of watches - are you a 'watch' person and what watch/watches do you have and wear daily?
My watch is an icon on my mobile phone.
I think I remember reading on one of these threads about what you (flemke) thought of Volvo's or something, and went on to say how your dad always wanted one but couldn't afford one. I then put yourself into my "decent chap" section, but that answer there about the watches is utterly superb, probably one of the best things I have ever read. laugh
"Oh Flemke, please toss me off!"
