Most cringeworthy thread you have ever read?

Is it like going crying to your Mummy's?
In what possible way is posting on a thread mocking absurd posts akin to crying to your mother? You either have a very obscure method of posting or an unusual relationship with your mother...
I'd say this thread was more like laughing with a friend about 'what that awful chap at work said today...' than anything else. It feels vaguely right-minded in a sea of frothing, right-wing angriness and cringe.

You want to know what is turning people away from PH. Not good natured ribbing. But ongoing threads like this.
I knew it would be that thread. You want to know what is turning people away from PH. Not good natured ribbing. But ongoing threads like this.
I would be happy to see most of the nutters in there banned but they haven't broken any posting rules. Time for a new rule I think.

Oh the irony of your view on reality
So let me get this right.. This thread is a place where people come to cry about other threads? How would it compare to real life? Is it like going crying to your Mummy's?
It is where we laugh at divs, like real life I guess when everyone shuts up as you walk into a room.So let me get this right.. This thread is a place where people come to cry about other threads? How would it compare to real life? Is it like going crying to your Mummy's?

Seems to have split two ways; those capable of navigating life with a degree of fluidity and grace and a sense of perspective, and some militant nerds whom I'd never want to encounter in real life.
Suffice to say, I side with the former (and done st in GCSE English)

I know you read them back out of context, but there's nothing like a good long passage of time to make you realise how far up your own arse you used to be as a kid (and where I say 'you', I really mean 'me')

Don't really see that. Most are just saying how things are legally, and that most employers would not care so much about the missing qualifications as much as the lying. Obviously anyone can lie, but if someone is proven to do so then they're providing evidence of being a worse candidate, so helping narrow the list of people down. You have very little information about them so any little extra info would help.http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&a...

The Aston forum is an odd one.
There has been loads of bickering about after market modifiers. Some people have their favourites. It becomes almost football-like sometimes.

I thought Aston owners all got on together and it was just a big club? Clearly not, I wonder if V8V drivers are looked down upon by the rest! This is a cracker of a post:

The "arguments" on the AM forum are always about one specific topic. There has been loads of bickering about after market modifiers. Some people have their favourites. It becomes almost football-like sometimes.

This, because now we ,the PH masses have to choose the OPs hire car for a c120 mile journey.
Can no one make a decision for themselves anymore ?
