Digusting but also entirely predictable that the Paris thread has descended into a bunch of fat balding armchair generals wking on about their favourite weapons

I might be reading into this too much but the OP seems to be saying he doesn't want poorer people than him to own the same cars (even if he says that's not his aim)

I feel we have a good amount of cringe on the way!

That thread now also gets bonus points because some helmet has popped up with the classic "I know a bloke worth 250 million who drives a shed" routine.

May actually have to read the whole thread now, the first few posts were painful enough, it gets worse?!

Pah mere peasant, there's a bloke on there who knows a billionaire with a knackered old escort now!

Your man does have the classic 'wealth whispers' line though!

I kind of have a grudging respect for one of our well known posters in that they make no bones whatsoever about turning any thread into an episode of Deadliest Warrior, that of the infamous 'IRA vs Taliban' deathmatch episode. Only this time one of the combatants is The Muslims, that well known homogenous fighting force.

I never enjoy reading posts in which someone demands an answer from another poster (or class of posters) and the Paris shooting thread has numerous examples.

The gun enthusiasts are just fking tragic.

Bonus points for whoever it was that mentioned 'France's equivalent of Hereford' turning up and put an ellipsis after Hereford for extra effect.

Isn't it Islam, though? Back at the start of that thread, with Islam being discussed, somebody came out with the 'because brown people' phrase which I thought was completely odd. As anybody can follow Islam, obviously.

Seemed a basic point that was lost in the rush to be vicariously offended.

I'm saving that for later, by then it will be full of stoner stories and people either saying how they never take drugs or saying how they are always high and a better person for it.

And then, of course, the inexorable decline into a debate about the legalisation of drugs.

I'm impressed it got to 5 pages before any disagreement started to be honest.

We need a few flow charts for guidance on how all PH threads eventually go the same way.
