Chap checks his dash cam after his Merc had been at the dealer and to his absolute horror discovered a catalogue of horrific abuse, namely
The mechanic that drove his car said a rude word whilst in the car!
He had a bit of banter with his mates, again whilst actually in the car!!
Then on test drive he accelerated really quite firmly (but perfectly safely) for two or three whole seconds!
Staggeringly, rather than paying a million pounds compensation and replacing the car with a brand new one immediately, the dealership ignored his genuine and entirely justified complaint.
As did Mercedes UK and Mercedes Germany.

Really, seriously, some of us do this flying stuff a lot. I'm gold status with Etihad, Flying Club Gold with Virgin & Diamond with Cathay not because I'm Billy Big b

Though we did a cheap all inc week package last summer £1.4k all in in their supposedly 4star - never again horrid experience flight transport hotel and sadly the clientelle as in 10am you'd think everyone had serious drink problems disregard to others 50% of the sun umbrellas not present due to them being damaged. Dire beds so we ce back shattered as we couldn't sleep well infact the sun loungers those which were not damaged were more comfy
We went to one of our usual style holidays only 5 weeks later for 2 weeks the difference was beyond belief.
We have a villa and a ski chalet too which means the holiday cost is simply flights ski pass/x number of golf games etc.
When I was much younger yes I did those stupid cheap deals and enjoyed them for what they were.
As highlighted I will fly Forst class long haul once in our lifetime - this will mean flights alone would be c£20k but its an experience we want to try once as such you save up and live the dream.
My old man didn't fly until he was in his 40's and is too sick now to fly again he could have flown Concorde but put it off for the cost he regrets it he never tried Business he regrets it.

What a fOr, if as I was last week, you needed to leave the UK on Friday, arrive in Australia on Sunday and do a presentation potentially worth > $300,000 to your company on the Monday, then being able to function on that Monday is more than worth the cost.
