I've seen the cringe thread.
Yet another "Sir Chris of Harris should be on Top Gear he's so amazing" blah blah blah.
Good lord.

Why?
Why do grown men (assuming they are) bother to blow smoke up his arse. Is it because they hope he'll read their posts and invite them for a one-on-one drive in a P1 by the Italian lakes, wind in his hair, sun glistening of his perfect white teeth, flies nestling into his beard like a mother tucks up a child in bed....
Hmm. I'm off to post!
Sir Chris of Harris, I'm cooooming!

Edit: That said, I do think that the idea of Harris on Top Gear misses the point of Top Gear, and wouldn't work.

Who cares? Really, who cares? If a post of mine gets deleted, I don't see the point in whining like a little bh, it's not like anything has been physically taken from me, it's just a few pixels on a screen.
I don't understand the emotional attachment people are having to words they've typed online and the hysteria over the deletion of inappropriate content. Who cares what happened in the past either? We used to hang people for stealing a Mars bar, now it's frowned upon. Similarly, the site has moved on and it seems poking fun at dead people isn't really the done thing. Deal with it.
fk me, your lives don't start and end on Pistonheads.

Being honest? Mostly because I can't help myself but it does depend on what kinda mood I'm in.
As for writing such posts, I could say the same about you. You spend the majority of your time on PH writing about stuff you don't get, and how you find certain things cringeworthy or baffling. Why don't you just allow the thought to pass and not feel the need to post about whatever has stoked your fire?
Works both ways dude.

The trial of the captain of the Costa Concordia cruise ship has run aground
That's not a joke. Nowhere ever has the phrase "run aground" applied to legal proceedings. Doesn't make sense. The trial of the captain of the Costa Concordia cruise ship has run aground
It's like saying the trial of notorious paedohphile Roy Whiting has fingered a child. Nonsense.

Somebody is, in his view, wrong on the internet. A new person has posted two threads about his car, and sweet jesus, what's this? One of those threads has been posted in an incorrect sub forum.
Total idiot, and the epitomisation of all that's wrong with car forums.
