The money was to be split between getting him a decent suit and GOSH. It was roughly £600 each.

Ah, doesn't sound too outrageous if it's for a specific thing. Should have been a successful incentive to get it all lopped off! Shame.

I was happy with the donation I made to GOSH anywaysmile

Ali, I will double my donation to your fundraising, provided we get the Mohican pics, deal?thumbup

This, everyone, is a very special charity who looked after (probably at the old site of the hospice that cared for Ali's Mum) my neighbour, a dear fellow who I felt very fond off, at the age of 49 (which I will turn later this year) when he was taken, a real guy, had a Harley, was MD of a building company, liked a beer or two.

Ten years ago, later this year, RIP, Bernfrown

Christ on a bike!

I would surely drown. ...

I was sorry to hear that you have lost your Mum Ali; you know that you have to say goodbye to them one day but it is very hard losing the people who have loved you unconditionally your whole life.

I voted for shave your hair but, I feel a bit mean now - you've a nice head of hair!

Ain't half hot Mum

And in that note, I'll be in Knowle (Solihull) today with a collecting tin for Marie Curie between 1-2pm for their Daffodil appeal

Please feel free to take a lovely drive along gorgeous roads in the beautiful sunshine to empty your loose change & meet a PHr wink or you can be lazy
Just click "lazy" and you're away.
Donated.

Sorry I didn't do this sooner. Good luck. Thoughts are with you.

:bump:

So after weeks of having the appointment booked in with my Salon and discussing they why (charity), how, what and WHEN with them on several occasions... Today they rang me to say "we forgot it was a bank holiday on Friday & the salon is closed". I'm the only client so we've decided to take the day off more like! rolleyes

Fortunatley, I've found a local mobile hairdresser that is willing to come & put my hair up on Friday, Saturday and every other day next week biggrin She (is cheaper!) will be getting a nice tip & the salon that let me down has had the rest of my appointments cancelled!

We still have the problem of getting my hair to defy gravity; as without shaving the sides it will not go straight up (well, not according to the original girl!) so my hair won't be up in a 'traditional mohican' or even as the photoshopped picture on the prvious page as it flopped when we tried it frown It will however, be up as high as possible (I won't be able to drive as there won't be the spare height in the car!) and it will be PINK! biggrin

Photos will follow, starting Friday biggrin Link for donations is on my profile wink

Pfft!, I was expecting the pic to be topless at the very least. hehe

That's a nice head of hair so hopefully it will get hands in pockets.

Just to show that you're not on your own doing daft things for charity, my G/F is doing the London marathon this year.
Is she walking it.....no, is she running it....no, is she doing the 26 miles marching in a band while playing a brass instrument the whole way?.......nuts
Just a mini hijack Ali....g/f did it.

..and got a Guiness World record in the process.

Looking forward to the mohican. smile

For those that don't have me on FB..
Day 1 - Pink hair (12 photos)

Slight (ok MAJOR!) disaster, hair dye didn't take frown
Can't bleach my hair as it will ruin it frown
Spray was pink glitter, so now I look like an extra from Twilight
Tomorrow WILL be better - but I'll do an extra day to make up for it!
