You can imagine the sign writer's comments:

"So let me get this straight, you want a sign saying keep left, with an arrow pointing to the right?"
Nothing wrong there - The arrow does not mean 'keep right', rather that you are to proceed to the right (as if it was a one way street) and still keep to the left of the road as you do so.
What? Do you work in the public sector by any chance? It's terrible. A typical example of the confused thinking that goes on there.
It looks silly, BUT it makes sense: turn right then keep to the left side.
I need to get a photo of what is to the right: one way road, with two lanes......but the left hand land is blocked (by some extension to a building....) so you have to go in the right hand lane....
No one has noticed that the Emergency department sign is not level. It's on the bed joint on the left hand side top and over the brick on the right hand side top. How hard can it be to get a sign level on a brick wall FFS?

Maybe the sign is level but the wall is wonky?

I've had that dilemma doing DIY, level or parallel.

Watches are a matter of personal taste and I don't like Roman numerals but what aspect of that one makes people's "teeth itch"?

What about it? It uses the additive rather than subtractive form?

You mean the 4 where the 9 should be?

Yeah. I know some clocks do use that variation, but it's the only thing I can personally see which would cause somebody to post the photo.

No. That's clearly a IX which has been cut off by the sub-dial.

Once you 'draw the circles' though you can see why they've done it - I don't mind it personally. I have a Seiko very similar albeit with normal numbers not roman numerals.

Pretty much all watches with RN that I've ever seen use IIII rather than IV.

If you want fked-up, try this which was posted in the Show Us Your Seiko thread:

Someone has clearly tried to make posters by simply blowing up tiny images, to the point where they are so pixellated it's laughable.
I hate even mild pixellation when trying to expand pictures, and every weekend when I walk past these posters it sets my teeth itching!

I was watching the BBC show "W1A" on Thursday night and was reminded of the dicky looking construction of the new Broadcasting House...

Irritating.

Difficult to see the point you're making with that camera angle.
