I could imagine that many people who have posted in here, never watch Countdown. It would be too much agony to watch the clock count up. :here:

I don't understand why anyone wouldn't feel a little uncomfortable with these pictures. They show what looks like some kind of horrific disfigurement or illness. Why is it a phobia to not like that?

to be fair I did think that pic2 was a shop, pic1 though had me shuddering thinking please tell me that st ain't real! Logic said it wasn't, not being a medical bod I couldn't see how fingers that badly damaged could look so normal elsewhere - but still <shudder>

Humans have an inbuilt natural reaction to what looks like rotten, infested or decaying flesh. It's a sign that something's wrong and shouldn't be touched or eaten as it could be dangerous to us.
