It always annoys me that the glass partitions on most showers are a) too low and b) too short. I've never been able to shower without soaking the bathroom when all that's there to prevent it is a glass panel.
+1

Stupid pointless things.

The colour of the symbols. Green for locked and red for unlocked, should be the other way around. Really bugs me.

Debatable;- Green - kids can't fall out, muggers can't get in. Red...

Cue?

Sorry, it is the itchy teeth thread.

My problem with the electric window image was that the solid part of the arrow was a different way round on the controls and the on/off button.

I can't post a photo, but the window switches reminded me of this:

At work, we have pieces of switchgear which are used for operating motors/pumps etc.

They have start and stop buttons, and they also have LEDs to show if the motor is running or stopped.

The colours are like this:

Start button: Green
Stop button: Red
Motor Running LED: Red
Motor Stopped LED : Green

So you press the green button, and the red light comes on. Press the red button, and the green light will come on!

My mistake as typing too quick. As for LEDs I do have a blue power light on a piece of equipment that eye damagingly bright.

Similarly, our laminator at woro, you switch it on and the power bulb illuminates green, until it is up to temperature and ready to use, then it goes red...

The tassimo? coffee thing we have at work (I don't drink coffee so not 100% on the name) it's green in use & red when it's ready to be used. Madness, should be green for go & red for don't press it's busy.

As annoying as it is, it's the standard used across the whole plant. Red means danger, i.e. running.

It's just a bit strange when you press a green button to bring on a red light, and vice versa.
