Mrs 111R cancelling the microwave with 3 seconds to go and leaving it there. I walk past and have to press cancel to set it back to the time.

Only for you in the cackhanded majority, us normals hold the knife in our left hand.

I'm with you on that!

Using a soup spoon, common thinking will have us use the utensil for moving food from bowl to mouth with our right hand. Same with pudding (yes I'm northern). But when we use a knife and fork, the utensil for moving food from plate to mouth is supposed to be held in the left hand! That is not logical!

RULE: Moving food from serving container to mouth? Use your right hand!

I am right handed in all other respects.

Wielding a sharp knife with less dextrous left hand may cause harm to life and limb. I'm sticking to proper normal.

I thought I was all alone with this problem - turns out I'm notlaugh

Ours is built in and at eye level - it sits there with its "0:03" on its display and with the timer control button popped outmad

Fortunately not side by side, but I have an oven and microwave oven on top. You can turn off the clock display on either (I've turned off the microwave one) to not get this problem. It would never leave me feeling right, otherwise!

A neighbour of mine has that sort of arrangement but for reasons I can't work out has 3 cookers side by side.

Whenever I go round, 2 of them will show "19:28" but one will be "19:29". Drives me fking mad - I'd have to move house to be honest.

I have mentioned it - he reckons it doesn't bother him, but secretly I bet it does.
