It's the engine that's offset. It doesn't line up with the front suspension mounts that you'd assume would be the components that are central.
Front?
My first reaction too,but it's the SUV thingy.

Ffs, I could only find that picture next to all the SUV ones on Google, cropped tight, so I assumed the reference to front suspension wasn't a mistake! banghead

A longitudinal engine will twist on its mounts under torque load so maybe its set to be centralised st 4000rpm biglaugh

I suspect some of the other masses in the car are asymmetric longitudinally, so they've deliberately offset the engine by a few cm to balance the car.

Optmised for LHD or RHD ? Always wondered what driver weight did to these calcs for proper set ups although unsprung mass more of an issue.

Most supercars now come with slaphead streamlining - an optional single-sided pack to offset the extra air-smoothing dynamics of the baldybonced convertible driver. For hairdressers and such ilk, they offer the beaver detail added drag pack. It's popular in parts of Surrey.

...and an absolute bargain at £5,500 each per option yes

Believe they're also bestsellers in parts of NE Cheshire

My guess is its a packaging issue- to give room for stuff like PAS pump, air con, alternator etc. Looking at the X brace clearance, I doubt the engine can rotate enough to centralise it under load.
I've never worked in the engine bay of an Aventador so could be talking rubbish...

The gearbox is ahead of the engine on these, so they have to offset it to allow room for the transfer case and propshaft to run back past the engine to the rear diff.

I don't think the suggestion is that torque centralises the engine, just balances the forces between left and right.

Saw this accompanying a press release from my employer, a new product launch to much fanfare. Shame they couldn't hire a decent photographer, epic fail.
