That would drive me nuts. I'd have to have it re-done.
Problem is, there isn't a perpendicular wall anywhere in the room yikes
The tiles are parallel with the walls at the entrance, but the right turn to the stairway isn't quite 90 degrees. It's an old bank converted to apartments in Cardiff City Centre.

It looks as though that room isn't square and that the tiles are lined up with the right hand wall.

Indeed possibly lining up with the front door.

See my post a few up. They do line up in the doorway.

Many years ago I did contract flooring for schools, offices and hospitals etc. We had a few of these situations and we spent hours trying to figure out the best way to fix them. Its amazing how the mind gets focused on things and can spot patterns and distortion. In this type of scenario you typically look for doors, doorways and corridors - the mind prefers to see lines run along corridors and you can break at doors. So while this looks odd here, it might be that there is a run along a corridor that gets to a door. Having tiles run oddly through a doorway is totally freaky!!!!

There was one corridor we had in a school - it was so badly build it wasnt straight, and the doors in it weren't at 90 degrees either. We had to run the tiles to the doors and not the corridor! Looks awful, but was better than running in line with the corridor and have it clash with the doorway.... totally strange!

Probably more to do with the seats not in line.

Spotted this in my building last night. It's making me angry even now.

Anyone got a label-maker I can borrow and a spare screw?

Is that a pool of light on the floor from a spotlight? Even the perimeter of that doesn't line up.

before anyone else says it, yes, I took the photo while driving. I was stopped at traffic lights, though I appreciate that is is not an excuse to do so. However, the abomination below had to be captured...

Apart from the questionable parking (I'm sure there's a good reason for why this is actually safe), I don't see it?
