Rear middle post not central.
That and the gap to the end at the rear looks different at each side. Maybe this is a pic before those front to rear beams have been properly secured....

F***, the only sensible thing to do is to knock it down and start again - it's your duty, I think, to point this out to your mate.

Why do people say communial?
I get it a lot - I work in the construction industry and you wouldn't believe the amount of mis-named communal areas on resi projects. Winds me up every time I hear it or see it written, I immediately assume that the person responsible is as thick as sh*t.
Worse than that - why are there so many illiterate professional signwriters around?I get it a lot - I work in the construction industry and you wouldn't believe the amount of mis-named communal areas on resi projects. I couldn't believe my eyes last week when I saw a professionally signwritten van belonging to a firm that does spot-hire of bin wagons and other similar vehicles.
'Firow - Munciple Vehicle Hire'. All over the van.
What the shuddering fk does Munciple mean? I can only assume when looking at their other correctly signwritten vehicles that it meant to say Municipal.

So, a mate has just got what is on the face of it a lovely looking new car port.
However now I've seen it, my ocd can't unsee it. I haven't got the heart to mention it either...
Not sure about the placement of the end two beams, perspective being able to play tricks and all, but the reason the centre beam doesn't lie directly over the rear middle upright could be it's position corresponds to width of the (I presume) polycarbonate roof sheets being used and thus the most economic use, thereof. Though that might mean starting from the left hand side, full sheet....full sheet....full sheet....full sheet aaaaaaaaand a tiny strip cut down. Don't post that pic OP, all hell will break loose! However now I've seen it, my ocd can't unsee it. I haven't got the heart to mention it either...
There is a pub in Chester which has a sign saying "The Marlbororough Arms"
The story I heard in 1980's was that it was mis-painted (presumably by a sign writer being paid in beer - in advance) and when the landlord realised and took it down the regulars demanded it be reinstated
I can't handle the tech to post a picture but the post code for street view is CH1 1DA

I suspect the signwriters know full well - I can imagine the cost of various signs on a price list, plus offering the services of a proof-reader for a small added fee.I couldn't believe my eyes last week when I saw a professionally signwritten van belonging to a firm that does spot-hire of bin wagons and other similar vehicles.
