It's either the stripy carpet section in the middle of a plain carpet or THAT ttTING NUMBER 1 BLOCK!!
It's the orientation of the blocks, they aren't arranged so the round over is consistently aligned.

I timed my old car so that the trip would tie in with the mileage and it would show 200000 and 200.0 at the same time. Got proper anal about it and it took me months of waiting for it to tick over this wonderful milestone. Got home from work with 199996 on it knowing that I could easily pull over the next day where I would be in about 4 miles. Then the missus borrowed my car and bought it back with 200004 and 204.2 on it. I nearly divorced her.

On the plus side, my text made it onto Chris Evans breaking news on radio 2 the next day!
Regards the lower picture, you should've made sure you look it at 11:12am and that it was 13 degrees outside wink

I can hear them in the meeting now .....

"How can we inform people that we don't want the walls damaged or de-faced in anyway so they can be kept looking as original as the day they were built?"

"How about drilling some holes in the wall and screwing a plastic sign to it telling people that we want keep the wall in its natural state?"

"Great idea! We'll go with that."

Indeed so; I admit that I hadn't thought of that. It reminds me slightly of the notice on a sign gantry on a UK motorway which stated: "This sign is not in use" But, but, but.... Isn't a notice a sign? Non sequitur

How can one be 'liable to prosecution' as well? Is it possible to be liable to something that does not exist as a physical thing?
