As you look down the centres, the individual parts aren't centred consistently - on some the vents don't line up with the video screen above, in some the radio/CD slot is offset to one side. I must admit I can't see anything wrong with at least one of them.

Is that not due to perspective in a 2D image? They look fine to me.

Maybe, it's very hard to tell though one of the radio / CD sections is miles over to one side.

It's obvious. The steering wheel should in the middle....

I'm guessing the inconsistent center consoles. The last couple look dodgy.

I think it's the fact that not a single one has any kind of symmetry of any description - everything's just a bit disjointed.
In the case of the cream/tan combo - there seems to be no logical design or aesthetically pleasing reason why the rear half a centre console should be all tan when that colour originates and sweeps down and across from the just the passenger side - leaving a strangely shaped island of cream for the gear shift to sit in ....
And the more you look, the more they all look just a bit odd - a bit 'that'll do' or 'not bothered about'.
I guess they fall into a 'marmite' category.

This is so the weight of gate is pushed towards the hinge. But no one seems to know this especially most tradesman I meet.

Not really ..... they just look abstract - rather than wrong.

Have a look closely at the 5 series (f10) console at the bottom LHD and RHD all other Modern BMW'S have the console line come from the dash and curves down opposite the driver. clearly seen in the 6 series ......the first photos. Then look at the e60 5 series and you see the same feature except the 5 series f10 is opposite and looks like a mistake.......as if the LHD and RHD version of the console have been mixed up........or is it just me!! Just checked, the same design element is in the 2 and 3 series correctly orientated as in the 6 series. Do ya see it?
