I think the irksome bit is supposed to be the pictures on the wall not being the same height, but the bikes bother me more!
Both - The pictures at different heights (and his reason for this!) AND the wonky bikes!
Bite me biggrin
No way, not the height you must be to get that top bike down! yikes

In my defence, the dog was barking at me because I was up a ladder, I was hungover, I was using the drill with my left hand, my missus has a broken foot, there was a plague of Locusts, and, guess what?

Yep, my Tux didn't come back from the cleaners!

One on the back of a ambulance today

Would have taken 30secs to google check that dimension.
Some people!
I guess they just rounded up to the nearest whole number, although 2.5 metres would have been perfectly fine.
I was more looking at the fact that there's a full stop after 8ft with the 3m in brackets following on from that.
That and the fact that feet should be 'ft' and metres 'm'.

Yes I know many prefer 'meter' but that causes confusions with instruments with dials or digital displays.
Isn't it correct, though, to use the full-stop to denote that "feet" has been abbreviated to "ft"? In which case the itch is caused by not doing the same to "m"?

The thing that's bugging me is in the caption: "a ambulance".

No, they are recognized abbreviations in BS 8888 without the full stop. And the 'M' rather than 'm' really pisses me off, as 8 ft does not convert to one of the world's largest companies! furious

Reminds me of a sign I saw in an Amsterdam hotel:

Lift
Up: Yes
Down: Yes
Portal to another dimension: No

Speaking of which...

I've stayed in that hostel (if it's the one I'm thinking of that was recently voted the worst in Europe, or something).

As a side point, ever noticed how all doors on an ambulance leading to/from the saloon are marked as Emergency Exits?

How do you get out when it's not an emergency?

Same way but you have to sidle out looking shifty and trying not to be spotted.

Me too. - I was once the President of a Students' Union (never again!) & took 3 coaches full of them to Amsterdam. As you can no doubt imagine, I know why the furnishings at the Hans Brinker are either basic or able to be hosed down! hehe
