If anyone has a spare caravan they need to park somewhere...
If they do, they should avoid weekdays, as free parking in Sevenoaks is only available on a Saturday or a Sunday in Soleoak Drive. Parking in Soleoak Drive is restricted on weekdays, I believe, but is free at weekends. Soleoak Drive is a free parking paradise at weekends, for caravans, motorhomes and friendly travelling folk. Especially them.Free parking in sole oak drive on the weekends you say.
someone remind me or bump this thread on friday so i remember to park on soleoak drive on saturday for free. or there is free parking on sole oak drive on sundays. i might choose saturday to park on soleoak drive as its free, on saturdays.

He definitely sounds like he's got a bee up his bum and went about it all wrong, but I can kinda see the OPs antagonists point of view.
The road doesn't belong to him but it is "his" road, he has to live there and put up with people who can't be arsed to park in the town centre cluttering up his road.
I'm sure OP and wife are lovely people, but when I was in the old farts shoes I had people parking up in "my" road to avoid a few quid parking at the carpark only 50 yards away, come back form shopping, empty litter from car onto the floor and have a piss in the hedge!
Ok so that didn't happen all time but it gets a bit tiresome after a while.
What he should be doing is speaking to the neighbours and council and having residents only parking enforcement all week long put in place.
For those that live is busy cities dropping the motor off outside some random house, provided its technically legal, is fine.
For suburbanites it can be tantamount to killing thier cat!
Perhaps just use the carpark next time.
Except the old codger CHOSE to live in a street that is close to the town centre. The road doesn't belong to him but it is "his" road, he has to live there and put up with people who can't be arsed to park in the town centre cluttering up his road.

I CHOSE to live in a road close to town too, doesn't make it any less frustrating when randoms skimping out on £5 for parking and fill up the road and leave litter and ste behind. In the end we lobbied the council for parking restriction and they were indeed enforced.
Didn't stop people parking there though, although I always had a little smile when I saw the parking warden turn the corner on a saturday morning.
I'd just like to say, I never chucked by toys, or got overly upset, it was just a tad frustrating, that's all.
The old boy definitely overreacted.
