Serious question though - given the opportunity to trip or pill on the drugs that were available then, would you do it now in the environment you are currently in?

I don't think I would.
Good question. Hardly touch anything these days apart from sipping on decent single malts, but back in the 90s it was a different story.

Spent 1996 at this mind-blowing place at the age of 29. http://theanarchistlibrary.org/library/meir-turnia...

Serious amounts of weed and LSD were administered. Minds were seriously blown. smile

It's a bit like the teenage driving thread... I look back and think that it's pure, pure luck that I'm still relatively together. I did OD once - nearly died. Didn't slow me down one bit. I was a total idiot, an absolute fool. We come from a generation who look at the opening page of 'Fear and Loathing...' and think - "well, that's barely a weekends worth" - kids these days are total lightweights.

What I have learned though - is that a good single malt is the best drug. By miles. Give me a Yamazaki any day and I'm smiling.

Fully agree.

A fine wine is my opium now, so to speak.

Just pleased I'm still around to enjoy it. Been a few times in the past where I haven't been confident I'd wake up the next morning.

Going with my dad to the pub on my 18th for my first pint!

I played on TFI Friday. With Finley Quaye - it was live! Properly live in those days - absolutely terrifying.
Which bands did you play in? What instruments?
