Your 90s nostalgia (Bar's open).
Discussion
The mid to late 90s covered my GCSE and A Level years and are filled with endless happy memories:
Finding pron stashes in the woods and underpaths, although this was a distant memory once we had AOL 512mb broadband installed!
First Playstation - TOCA, F1, Gran Turismo, so many hours played
Mountain biking - building trails and jumps in the local woods
Music - Dance music was my main interest, sparked off by listening to someone's copy of The Ministry of Sound Annual 2 at lunchtime
House parties - my parents were away most weekends and entrusted me to look after the house and my brother. Every weekend they were away there'd be a queue of people hiding around the corner waiting for them to leave. They'd all pour in armed with cheap drink, snacks, DJ equipment and vinyls - they neighbours must've been saints as we never had any complaints!
Girls - cosying up on the coach on school trips, sneaking off for a quick snog down the field or by the bike sheds, trying to pull at discos, house parties and any other place where the opposite sex may be present!
First holiday away from the parents - we organised a trip to Newquay after finishing 6th form and stayed at the infamous 'Sunnyside site'. My nan gave me £1000 for my 18th birthday which was just a few days before our big holiday. I blew the lot on a new surfboard and Smirnoff Ice and 'Purple people eaters' in Sailors
Lastly mates - I'm still in regular contact with all my mates from secondary school and really grateful for it, we grew up together and shared some of the best memories we've had and I think it's hard to make friends like that again.
