I am pretty sure we just had another one - 7.52am in Rutland once again. Anyone else feel it?
Yes, house shook briefly here (few miles north of M. Mowbray).

When I lived in San Francisco there were two very noticeable earthquakes, a 4.6 and a 5.2.

I st myself with the 4.6 as it was my first but the 5.2 didn't seem so bad, maybe because I was in and stayed in bed. I even thought, well this is pretty cool.

Anyone beat a 5.2?

we had a 4.7 here about 12 years ago. the epicentre was about 2 miles from where i was living at the time.
i was getting into bed when it happened and at first thought a truck had crashed into the building next door. next there was a rumbling that was the exact frequency to make my front door sound like someone was kicking it very hard then everything started banging in unison with the tempo of the bangs varying.

was pretty cool.

Hmmm, had a few earthquakes in the last three years - with the result that most of the central city has been demolished. Those over 6 can be scary, at least chez caziques didn't suffer too much.

Christchurch - New Zealand

Felt it here too, few miles North-East of Melton Mowbray. Lasted a good few seconds and had the floor shaking with a low-pitched rumbling noise.

I was telling my colleagues here in Japan about the fuss even a tiny quake caused in the UK, they thought it was quite funny. But then I'm working in the shadow of MT Fuji and in the splash zone for when the anticipated Tokai earthquake hits. Mad buggers seem very blasé about it all!

Christchurch, 7.1 but the 6.3 and 6.4 felt worse! I was litterally on top of the (june) 6.4.

Yesterday we had 4 quakes bigger than this one, felt none of them, pretty average day... biggrin

There was indeed - around 10.25pm and a 3.8 around Cottesmore in Rutland. Largest we have had here for some time and really noticeable.
