Yes, yes, I was writing mine while you were posting your second one so I didn't see it. I'm working on it.

Probably one of those cars that have had an older plate stuck on it and used in TV series despite it not being in production in the year the show is set, or even geekier the plate is wrong for the year the show is set in.

Both right sort of.

That's a false plate stuck on for the show.

AAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!

The evolution thread. How can someone in the 21st century believe in something so blindly? All the information we have at our fingertips and the better education we supposedly have seems to count for nothing.

Can you get someone banned for being a fanatic and not actually contributing to the site in any meaningful way?

It genuinely worries me that people like that still exist in the UK.

Very briefly, I stood the other side of the great divide. No one will ever convince me there is anything there.

There was something there in my near death experience and that helped to convince of the limits.

But I won't just avoid the stress/hassle/getting lost & inevitable late night mugging.
Ah you're missing out big time. I have personally never found London to be stressful, quite the opposite in fact! With things like transport there are so many busses, trains and tubes that even if you miss one another will be along in 5 mins. Getting lost is a thing of the past if you have a smartphone, and I have never been mugged despite being a young skinny white male and being in some dodgy areas.

Methinks your idea of London is nothing like the reality! But then I adore this city, so it's not as if I am unbiased...
I was being a little stereotypical... I do know London, I was born in Lewisham.

Mum and Dad both worked in the British Museum when they met in the 70's till the mid 90's (Mum was admin/pay roll Dad was site security biggrin)

The stories are quite cool... like the guard dogs refusing to enter certain Galleries (the one with the stone heads made them howl and back away smile )

The real reason I won't visit London... I hate public transport on principal (Dad was a Northfleet/Gravesend bus driver for over ten years before he retired... I've seen the PTS from the inside)

I prefer driving... which in London is extortionately expensive (CC, Parking etc) so I don't bother.

Methinks I need a whoosh parrot hehe

That's fair. Driving IS massively expensive here its true, and if I had legs then no way would I bother. As it is, if your mobility is impaired then public transport just isn't practical so a car is sadly needed.

Parking and CC not an issue at weekends, though.

Avoiding arguably the greatest city on earth for those reasons is a tad bizarre.

I feel a bit sorry for ChrisGB sometimes, as he's representing a minority (a pretty silent one at that) on PH. But then I read more and realise that he maybe representing that minority, but he sure ain't representing that minority well...
