Because a large proportion of them can't read, abandoning formal education often at an early age to learn their trade.

The visit by the women's' institute was a debacle.

CB greeted them in his usual way and charges might be brought.

Rip that POS Rover engine out and replace it with a proper one and it would be amazing :P
I have to bite here.
Why do you think the rover v8 is a pos?
My Tvr has one, they are very light for their size they are pretty powerful for an old NA engine (mine is approx 230 bhp) and it sounds fantastic, like a NASCAR.
I actually agree a skyline lump would have been a better match with a 240z but there is a good reason the Rover was in production for so long and that it was popular with so many of the low volume car producers from the 60s onwards.
Parts are expensive and the specific output is total crap. It WAS a good engine when it was first designed but by the end of production it was massively outdated. I'm just not a fan of them at all, the weight is a nice plus but they aren't THAT light, once you factor in everything they need to actually run then it's well over 200kg.

For me the only positives they have is that they are cheap and they sound nice but if I was going to shove a V8 in something I would choose a much much newer design unless I was really strapped for cash.

Edit: Just to clarify, I'm looking at this from a point of view that takes into account all the newer American V8s along with the ones from Merc, BMW, Audi, Toyota and so on. As I said, in their day the Rover V8 was good, but their day was 35 years ago.

Morning all, I trust we are fine and dandy.

It makes my heart jump every time I see my thread reappear. I never imagined when I wrote it just how much of an impact it would have.

St George's Day hog roast at the Willoughby Arms tonight and I can't get there until half past seven at the earliest.

frown

He was Libyan, you know.

St George, not the landlord of the Willoughby.

The story of him saving of the Princess by slaying the plague-ridden dragon came back with the Crusaders.
