It is no secret that I am a car nerd and spend too much time thinking about cars but I may have reached a new height today.
My front number plate has a small crack in the middle, which I assume was caused by a stone or something back in Dec '13 and the crack has irked me since - small detail which won't cause sleepless nights but once you know it's there, it is always at the back of your mind. My idea was to research which dealership initially registered the car and then ask them to make up some plates, so that the issuing dealer is printed at the bottom.
NX51 was issued in Newcastle and I have found the correct dealer. This idea is too tempting - better than the generic plates that Halfords would make up. Project OEM+ if you will.

Was just thinking there of how nice a fabia would be as a first car.
When I bought my first car (mk2 fiesta 1.1 fresco) Skoda were still making Favorits!
Fiesta had wind up windows, carburettor with manual choke, dealer fitted back seatbelts, dealer converted to run on unleaded, 135/60 13 tyres, 2 speaker radio that you had to bend down to reach, no 12v socket, manual locks, no glovebox lid...

You sure they were 135/60 ?...sounds a strange profile for such a thin tyre. When I bought my first car (mk2 fiesta 1.1 fresco) Skoda were still making Favorits!

More likely 135/80
