To fix the Audi = £714 includes gearbox, VAT, car collected, box fitted and car delivered... Bargainous?

Isn't that what you paid for it?

Nope, still have the 8.32, decided to recommission it properly.
And the SL? Gone to a good home or still to perform daily duties?
SL gone, not forgotten.

Trying the Albionesque alternative now.

Iva... it was sold with a single known fault smile

It still perfectly usable... as long as I time the gear changes/rev match perfectly

Paid £750... 2000 (W reg) 103,000miles, looong MOT, pioneer stereo, working aircon, enough airbags to make a bouncy castle... everything I wanted except leather smile

I'll list the cars faults...

Worn/non existent synchro on 2nd and 3rd gears

That is all

All in it would be less £1500 for a low mileage Audi A4 (B5) in excellent condition biggrin

How long has it been standing for ?

I have experience of longterm stationary cars.
Couple of years out of regular use, but it was shuffled frequently.

Fired up first time as ever, discs were saveable, but Feck it, Brembo OE were 120 odd quid for all four, new pads less and a weekend of crawling under it sorted that. Can get calliper service kits for pennies, so that'll be next. Back box arrived from Deutschland yesterday, that'll be after.

Nearly there.

That's the Eventer. Lovely thing, 40-80k these days though.

Mine is a Spider, Lynx was making the convertible 10 years before the factory.

One of two to this spec, apparently.

Bloody excellent work. More photos, please!

Quite, JAYB's SL was a handsome car, colour, interior combo, that XJS is just beautiful biggrin Back in the late 80's my most wacko cousin's husband had a red XJS (not a convertible) with a white/cream leather interior. I loved that car; git wouldn't let me drive it though grumpy

It needs a little tidying in places, but just got a full mot. I'll be collecting over the weekend so will take some pics.

This is what I hope it to be before long: http://www.barons-auctions.com/details.php?ID=6615

Sold last month for 20K, and isn't as unique as claimed wink

Wow,it's hot 'n sticky again.

Where's BF with the TT fan to waft over me ?

ION I was going to wash the car tonight but it rained.

I haven't washed the Swedish insect collection off yet, luckily mother nature took a lot of them

as it chucked it down as I approached Calais and also on the M20 couple of hours later.

I honestly don't know what's wrong with people, we drove 315miles to find the sprinter van had a fault and was unable to pass the MOT, so not taken.

TBH I'd get my money back and slag him off.
